What is a professional photographer?
It is not determined if you have the latest camera body or using the biggest lens you can find.
Our understanding is simple, if you are pay to do something, you are a professional in it. If you are doing it for free, then you are not.
Say, if you went to a trip, and when you return from your trip, you show some of the stunningly beautiful photographs you took to a publisher, and the publisher decided to buy the right to use these photographs in a magazine.
Even, you are not paid to do it when you have shot them, but you receive monetary return at the end. We consider this is professional work done. However, if no one is interested in your photographs, those are just memories of your trip.
